Yeovil Rugby Club

Yeovil Rugby Club is delighted to announce Stone Pits Construction Ltd as the official Player Sponsor of Beckie Glover, affectionately known around the club as 'Big Dave', for the 2026/27 season.

The partnership is another fantastic example of businesses getting behind our senior players and supporting the continued development of women's rugby at Yeovil.

Beckie 'Big Dave' Glover | Yeovil Women – Prop

Every rugby team needs a strong front row, and at Yeovil Women, we have our very own Big Dave!

Beckie Glover is part of the Yeovil Women's senior squad, playing in one of rugby's most physically demanding positions – prop.

Playing in the front row certainly isn't for the faint-hearted. It takes strength, determination, resilience and a willingness to get stuck into the hard work that often goes unnoticed.

From anchoring the scrum to making tackles and carrying the ball into contact, the front row provides the foundations on which the rest of the team can perform.

And with a nickname like 'Big Dave', Beckie certainly sounds like someone you would want on your side of the scrum rather than the opposition's!

Beyond the tackles and scrums, Beckie is part of a women's section that continues to grow and develop, with players of all backgrounds and abilities coming together to represent Yeovil Rugby Club.

Meet Beckie's Sponsor – Stone Pits Construction Ltd

Stone Pits Construction Ltd is the business proudly backing Beckie for the 2026/27 season.

The construction industry and rugby share many of the same principles: strong foundations, teamwork, commitment and the determination to get the job done.

It's therefore particularly fitting to see a construction company supporting one of our front-row players.

Just as every successful building project relies on solid foundations, every rugby team relies on the strength and commitment of its forwards.

And we're sure Beckie will be doing her bit to keep those foundations strong throughout the season!

We are delighted to welcome Stone Pits Construction Ltd into our growing family of player sponsors and thank them for choosing to support women's rugby at Yeovil.

Supporting the Growth of Women's Rugby

Women's rugby continues to be an important part of Yeovil Rugby Club's future.

Our Player Sponsorship programme provides an opportunity for businesses to support individual players while becoming more involved with the wider club community.

These partnerships help players with the costs associated with rugby and allow us to showcase the businesses and organisations that choose to invest in grassroots sport.

Every sponsorship makes a difference, and it's particularly encouraging to see businesses putting their support behind our women's squad.

By backing players like Beckie, sponsors are helping us continue to create opportunities for women to enjoy competitive rugby, develop their skills and become part of the YRC family.

A Big Thank You to Stone Pits Construction Ltd

Everyone at Yeovil Rugby Club would like to extend a huge thank you to Stone Pits Construction Ltd for sponsoring Beckie Glover throughout the 2026/27 season.

Your support is greatly appreciated by Beckie, the women's squad and everyone involved with the club.

We look forward to seeing Big Dave getting stuck into the action and proudly representing Yeovil in the black and white.
