Yeovil Rugby Club

Yeovil Rugby Club is delighted to announce WessexME – Mechanical & Electrical, an Andwis Group company, as the official Player Sponsor of Josh 'Doc' Docherty for the 2026/27 season.

The partnership brings together one of our familiar senior men's players and an established mechanical and electrical engineering business, continuing the fantastic support being shown for grassroots rugby at Yeovil.

Josh 'Doc' Docherty | Yeovil Men

Known to almost everyone around Yeovil Rugby Club simply as 'Doc', Josh Docherty is a familiar face within our senior men's setup and a player who has already been making his presence felt during the 2026/27 campaign.

Doc has wasted little time getting himself amongst the action this season, including finding his way across the whitewash and adding valuable points to Yeovil's tally.

Whether it's getting stuck into the physical side of the game, supporting his teammates or getting himself into try-scoring positions, Doc continues to play his part in the senior squad.

With the club enjoying an encouraging start to the season, we're delighted to see Josh receiving individual sponsorship from WessexME.

Meet Josh's Sponsor – WessexME Mechanical & Electrical

WessexME, part of the Andwis Group, is a specialist mechanical and electrical engineering company providing professional building services solutions.

The business delivers a range of mechanical and electrical services, including installations, maintenance and engineering support for commercial and industrial environments.

From electrical systems and mechanical installations to ongoing maintenance and larger building services projects, WessexME brings technical expertise, industry knowledge and experience to its work.

As part of the Andwis Group, WessexME benefits from being connected to a wider network of specialist building services businesses, bringing together expertise across the mechanical and electrical engineering sectors.

Their involvement with Yeovil Rugby Club through Josh's sponsorship is another welcome example of businesses investing in the local sporting community.

Building Connections Through Rugby

At Yeovil Rugby Club, our Player Sponsorship programme is about much more than simply placing a company name alongside a player.

It provides an opportunity to connect businesses with the people who proudly represent our club every weekend, while helping support the costs associated with playing rugby.

These partnerships also allow us to introduce our members, supporters and wider community to the businesses that choose to support grassroots sport.

Much like rugby, the mechanical and electrical industry relies on teamwork, preparation, specialist skills and people working together to achieve a common goal.

It's therefore particularly fitting to welcome WessexME into our growing family of player sponsors.

A Big Thank You to WessexME

Everyone at Yeovil Rugby Club would like to extend a huge thank you to WessexME – Mechanical & Electrical and the Andwis Group for sponsoring Josh Docherty throughout the 2026/27 season.

Your support is greatly appreciated by Josh and everyone involved with the club.

We look forward to seeing Doc continue representing Yeovil in the black and white as the season progresses — and hopefully adding a few more tries along the way!
