James Read takes the Player of the Match honours following an impressive performance in Yeovil's 34–27 away victory over North Dorset II.
It was an exciting performance from the 1st XV and one which really demonstrated the progress being made by the squad.
After a busy pre-season and changes within the coaching set-up, Yeovil are beginning to show a more dynamic style of rugby. There was plenty of attacking intent, good handling and skill on display, and a willingness to play with confidence.
James was right at the heart of that performance.
A Yeovil lad who progressed through the club's age-grade rugby into the senior game, James continues to show his commitment to the club despite now serving in the Royal Navy and being based in Portsmouth.
Travelling back to train and play isn't always easy, which makes the commitment he continues to show to his teammates and his home club even more appreciated.
Saturday's Player of the Match award was thoroughly deserved and came as part of an excellent team performance that secured an important away victory.

Barbarians Player of the Match – Harry Bartin

The result may not have gone the Barbarians' way, but there were still plenty of positives to take from Saturday's game – including an excellent performance from Harry Bartin.
Harry not only earned the Player of the Match award but also got himself on the scoresheet with one of Yeovil's two tries.
The Barbarians continue to provide an important bridge into senior rugby, bringing together players with different levels of experience and giving people opportunities to step up, develop and enjoy competitive rugby.
Saturday was another great example of that, with Frankie Tate and Josh Esteves making their senior debuts and Mixed Ability player Rocky once again stepping up to represent the Barbarians.
Amongst it all, Harry produced a performance worthy of recognition.
His contribution, effort and try earned him the Player of the Match honours on a day when the Barbarians continued to demonstrate exactly why the side is such an important part of senior rugby at Yeovil.
