After having to rearrange our Music event the time has come that we are now looking for volunteers for our upcoming Music on the Pitch event. After the success of last year’s events we are bringing back a similar format, but have improved our offering to make this year’s event even better than before. This year we are teaming up with Charity Ataxia UK, to raise awareness of this life depilating illness and to raise vital funds for the charity.

So what is Ataxia ?

‘Ataxia’ is an umbrella term for a group of neurological disorders that affect balance, coordination and speech. There are many different types of ataxia that affect people in different ways.The ataxias are rare conditions. Estimates from recent studies say that there are at least 10,000 adults and around 500 children in the UK with a progressive ataxia.

This year we hope to increase our ticket sales, provide more entertainment on the day, and of course raise some funds to help the charity.

With that in mind we do need your help and are asking all our players, members and supporters to get involved with volunteering on the day to help with a variety of roles. Please find below our volunteer shifts that we hope to fill with your help. It is important that we cover all times and positions with volunteers where possible. If you are looking to come to the event and haven’t brought your tickets yet, we are offering all volunteers a free ticket to the event, and a volunteer T-Shirt to wear on the day. All we ask for is a commitment to a minimum of 3 hours of help.

Shift times- Noon – 3pm, 3pm-6pm, 6pm-9pm, 9pm-Midnight

If you are happy to help for a number of hours this would be greatly appreciated. We will also need volunteers on hand Friday afternoon and Saturday morning for setting up.
