Yeoborne Colts 24 – 19 Devizes Colts

Sunday 25 October 2026

It was another fantastic afternoon of grassroots rugby as the combined Yeovil RC and Sherborne Colts side, Yeoborne, secured a hard-fought 24–19 victory over Devizes on Sunday.

In a closely contested encounter, the young Yeoborne squad showed determination, teamwork and plenty of attacking promise to come away with a well-earned win.

Four Tries Seal the Victory

Yeoborne crossed the whitewash on four occasions, with George Miller, Henry Willcocks, Tom Donovan and Archie Blake all adding their names to the scoresheet.

Albert Staunton contributed the additional points with the boot, helping Yeoborne secure their five-point victory.

The result was a fantastic reflection of the talent developing within the combined Colts setup, with players from both Yeovil and Sherborne continuing to build their understanding and confidence as a team.

Man of the Match – Xavier Wynn

A special congratulations goes to Xavier Wynn, who was awarded Man of the Match for his contribution to Sunday's victory.

Recognition for Xavier in what was an excellent collective effort from the entire squad.

Two Clubs, One Team

The Yeoborne partnership brings together young players from Yeovil RC and Sherborne, providing an important pathway for developing rugby talent as players progress towards senior rugby.

Results like Sunday's demonstrate the value of the partnership, offering young players opportunities to compete, develop their skills and enjoy the game together.

Both clubs can be incredibly proud of the commitment shown by the players, coaches and volunteers who continue to support the Colts programme.

Colts Training

The combined Colts squad trains on Tuesday evenings at 7:15pm, alternating between Yeovil RC and Sherborne.

The next scheduled training session will take place at Yeovil RC.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in Sunday's victory. Another positive result for Yeoborne and another exciting step forward for the future of rugby at both clubs.

Two clubs. One team. One future.
