Yeovil RC Women are proud to announce that they will once again be heading to the home of English rugby after securing their place at the RFU Injured Players Foundation Women’s Tournament Day 2026 at the iconic Allianz Stadium.
Taking place on Sunday 31st May 2026, the event brings together six women’s rugby teams from across the country for a day celebrating the growth, spirit and community of the women’s game — all whilst raising vital funds for the RFU Injured Players Foundation (IPF).
The tournament, played on the famous Twickenham turf, has become one of the standout events in the grassroots rugby calendar. Teams compete in a series of 15-a-side fixtures in front of family, friends and supporters, while also committing to fundraising efforts in support of injured rugby players and their families.
For Yeovil Women, the opportunity to return to Twickenham is another huge milestone for the club and a reflection of the continued growth and success of the women’s section.
The squad will now begin preparations both on and off the field, with fundraising events, sponsorship opportunities and community activities planned throughout the season as they aim to proudly represent Yeovil RC on rugby’s biggest stage.
The event itself will see each team play a number of 20-minute matches throughout the day, with squads of up to 35 players taking part. Teams are also encouraged to raise as much money as possible for the charity, with the two highest fundraising clubs earning the privilege of using the home and away international changing rooms on the day.
The RFU Injured Players Foundation provides support to rugby players who sustain catastrophic spinal cord or brain injuries while playing the game, helping players and their families rebuild their lives after injury.
A spokesperson for Yeovil Women said:
“To have the chance to return to Twickenham is incredibly special for everyone involved with the team. It’s not just about playing at the home of England Rugby — it’s about supporting an amazing charity, celebrating women’s rugby and creating memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to represent Yeovil RC once again.”
Supporters, sponsors and the wider rugby community are encouraged to get behind the team over the coming months as preparations begin for what promises to be an unforgettable occasion.
Further details on fundraising events, sponsorship opportunities and travel arrangements will be announced soon across Yeovil RC’s social media channels. 🖤🤍
